I can't wait to get my hands on my grandchildren...

On friday evening I participated in a Twilight Photo Walk in downtown Vancouver. It was amazing. Amanda Kerr Photography. In 2 hours I learned so much about my camera. I had previously used about 25% of its' potential. Usually taking the "safe" route to ensure I "got" the photo. Never have I shot in Manual Mode. Huge learning curve. The shots above are my favorites from the workshop and below are a few of Bob using Manual at home yesterday. You must have a tripod for the night shots and a remote release is definitely key.
Now, if I could only get my hands on my grandchildren! They are my favorite subjects to photograph. Until then, Bob will do just fine.

Charlotte at Seven Months

This past week has brought its' trials and tribulations. Towards the end of Jen and Mike's Hawaii vacation, Sam came down with a whopping case of the Chicken Pox. Unfortunately he was unable to travel home as planned due to airline regulations. Jen and Charlotte returned to the mainland but Mike and Sam had a forced extension at the beach. Luckily Sam did not suffer terribly and the doctor gave a "thumbs up" to ocean swimming. Just stay out of the sun and so they did. Lots of night time exploration, quick dips and rests throughtout the day.

The boys return late tonight after receiving the doctor's okay to travel.

I had an unexpected day with Jen and Charlotte on friday so the photos above are from our photoshoot.

Below is a look back at Sam at 7 months. Just look at those dark eyes. What is he thinking?

And now he is at 4! Welcome home, Sam. I can't wait to hear of your adventures with Daddy. I love you.
